A Gun Carrying Woman?

Is it right for a woman to own or carry a gun? Does it lower the ability of a man to protect her? Does it put her higher then men?

There's been a lot of controversy in the church when it comes to a women's place in the world. Now when it comes to women carrying guns there are essentially three sides:
  1. Some women carry guns to prove that they can do anything that a man can do. Basically a feminist.
  2. On the other side women won't touch a gun because they believe that it's a man's job to protect them.
So is there a middle? Is there a right choice when it comes to women carrying guns? I'd say yes...

    3.  There are women who carry guns because they know it's their right, they need to protect themselves and their children and they know that as a help meet for their husbands they need to be as "helpful" as they can be. Which in a lot of cases boils down to, they need to carry a gun. A gun can make her easier to care for. A woman was meant to be a help meet not a burden, and if that means carrying a gun so that her husband or father can focus on something else instead of worrying about her than that's what she should do.

Does a woman need to know how to shoot a gun. I believe that a woman was meant to help her husband or father stand stronger, "for better or for worse, in sickness or in death..." I wonder how many other women in the world still think about that and would do all with in her power to help their husbands?
The world is a dark place and your husband, father or brother is not always going to be there for you. As Christians we should understand possibilities and be prepared for them, and most of the time that means carrying a gun. We have to face the fact that the world is only getting worse,  The world isn't a "perfectly lovely place" in the least, there are evil people that will do evil things. The best thing we can do is to be prepared for anything. The definition of a great leader is that he is prepared for anything. If God is the greatest leader there is, and we're supposed to be like him...then I think we should also be prepared for anything. And because the world isn't getting any better what was not necessary for women "back in the day" is necessary for them now.

God didn't create men to fight and then create women to sit back and watch them. God created women to strengthen men, to encourage them, to be with them in danger, in the thick of anything that God calls them to be. I see very few women in the world willing to do that.
God created the woman for the man..."But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." (1 Cor 11:3) So why should women be focused on how they can serve God and how they can extend the kingdom and how they can fulfill the dominion mandate?

You serve God by following the man that he has put over you.

It really isn't about weather you should or should not carry a gun....the question is why are you carrying it. Are you carrying it in spite of your husband or are you carrying it to relieve his mind of worry.
And the last point I'd like to make is that although the Bible doesn't give us a point blank, "you should," or "should not carry a gun." It does have a very point blank "wives obey your husbands" and "children obey your fathers." So I think the best advice that I can give you is to honor your father or husbands authority. If he wants you to carry a gun then carry a gun and if he doesn't want you to carry a gun...don't.
